Bench design, fabrication, and installation by Dan Yudchitz and Aaron Squadroni. Earthwork by city of Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
Working with architect Daniel Yudchitz, the goal for this project was to create a sculptural bench that could become a framework for nature. This bench defines the land and anchors a person to the landscape. It creates a relationship in which the built environment is a framework for growth. Once the wooden structure was complete, soil was brought in to create a berm around the bench that was planted with wildflowers from the park.
